Intelligence Architects operates from Germany, so this website is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In case of discrepancy, the German version governs.

We run this website on a data-minimal basis. We use no cookies, no tracking, no analytics, and no advertising networks. There are no user accounts and no newsletter sign-up. This notice explains what data nevertheless arises and what we do with it.

Controller

The controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR is:

Intelligence Architects Owner: Oliver Wrede Brüsseler Str. 63–65 50672 Cologne Germany

Phone: +49 151 22630513 Email: hello@intelligence-architects.com

We have not appointed a data protection officer; the thresholds in § 38 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) do not apply to us.

Visiting the website (server log files)

When you access this website, your browser transmits technically necessary data to our hosting provider’s server. This is processed in what are known as log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the file retrieved
  • Volume of data transferred and notification of successful retrieval
  • Browser type and version, operating system
  • Referring page, where transmitted

Purpose: delivering the website, ensuring system security and stability, and investigating abusive access.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically sound and secure operation of this website.

Retention: log files are deleted or truncated after 30 days at the latest. This data is not combined with other sources, and we do not build user profiles from it.

Hosting: this website is hosted by Host Europe GmbH, Hansestraße 111, 51149 Cologne, Germany. The server used for this website is located in Germany. The provider processes the data solely on our behalf and on our instructions.

Getting in touch

By email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide — typically your name, contact details, company, and the substance of your enquiry — in order to handle your request.

Legal basis: where your enquiry concerns possible collaboration, this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). Otherwise it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Retention: we delete the data once your matter has been resolved and no statutory retention obligation applies. If the contact leads to an advisory engagement, the commercial and tax retention periods of six and ten years respectively apply (§ 257 German Commercial Code, § 147 German Fiscal Code).

Via the contact form

The contact form on this website operates without transmitting data to us or to any third party. Your entries are assembled locally in your browser and, on submission, handed to your own email client, which opens a prepared message. Nothing is sent to our server, and we store no form entries.

We receive your data only once you send that message yourself from your email client. From that point, the section on email contact above applies.

Please note that unencrypted email transmission may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection against third-party access is not possible with email. For confidential material, we are glad to agree a secure channel with you.

Fonts

The fonts used on this website are served from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external font provider, and your IP address is not transmitted to a third party for this purpose.

Our website links to external services, including our company profile on LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland). These are plain links — no provider content is embedded, and no data is transmitted to them when you simply view our pages. The respective provider’s privacy terms apply only once you click such a link.

No automated decision-making

We use no automated decision-making and no profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Artificial intelligence is the subject of our advisory work, but we do not use AI systems that evaluate personal data of website visitors to operate this site or to handle your enquiries.

Recipients and disclosure

We do not disclose your data for advertising purposes and we do not sell it. Disclosure occurs only:

  • to processors acting on our behalf and bound by our instructions (such as hosting and email operations), under a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR;
  • where we are legally obliged to do so, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR respectively).

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR) — whether and what data we process about you
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — where no retention obligation applies
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — in a commonly used format
  • Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR) — with effect for the future

Right to object

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you that is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

An informal message to hello@intelligence-architects.com is sufficient to exercise these rights.

Right to lodge a complaint

Without prejudice to other remedies, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

The authority responsible for us is:

State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia Kavalleriestr. 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany ldi.nrw.de

Data security

This website is delivered over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit. Beyond that, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures under Art. 32 GDPR to protect your data against loss, destruction, and unauthorised access.

Whether you must provide data

Providing personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. Without contact details, however, we cannot respond to an enquiry.

Changes to this notice

We update this privacy notice when our website or the legal position changes. The version published on this page applies; the date of the most recent update appears above.
